Yes, we went fishing for piranha in the Amazon Rainforest. Everyone was looking forward to going fishing for the flesh-eating fish. There were many jokes made about being eaten by piranhas. On our way to lodge, Phil challenged "I want to punch a piranha." People were getting hype up over the fishing.
Fishing piranhas were the first thing on the agenda for the Amazon tour. We were divided into three canoes each led by the locals. Tarzan, the tour guide, explained the challenge of catching piranhas. He said piranhas we fish are served for dinner, and the boat with most fishes wins.
We sail the boat into the trees. Tarzan beware us about touching the braches and getting bitten by a spider. Once we arrived at the fishing spot, it started to rain hard. It was drenching hard, but it did not seem to make our boat turn back. Eric said "I thought we were going to turn back as soon as the rain started to pour, but once we kept going further into the forest I decided we might as well go with the flow. It turned out to be really fun rowing and fishing in the pouring rain, and actually catching something."
It was a magnificent fishing experience, and the winning canoe caught six piranhas. The most impressive person was Junior. He caught five piranhas without any struggle. "He said fishing for piranha in the rain is hard. He proceeded to catch 5 of the fish like nothing. In addition to that, he caught almost all of the piranhas we were served at dinner" said Abe after talking to Junior. Shane added, "Junior got us dinner while we bailed water to keep him floating." Everyone was impressed by Junior's talent. Laurel was dazzled by Juinor's ability and said: "I found my husband."
The fishing trip was fabulous because no one imagined to go fishing in the Amazons. It was a lot of fun to fish for piranhas. In the end, everyone made it alive and without any injury.
