Our last second day in Rio de Janeiro was relatively easy during the whole trip. Around 7:00 pm, we arrived at a traditional Brazil restaurant called “Cartorio Cartete” and the environment of the restaurant is very quiet and retro. There were no guest when we arrived, so it’s a very ideal place for us to talk. Even if the dinner was called the “Farewell”, we did not experience a heart-wrenching separation during the whole dinner. Instead, most of us were still talking excitedly about what we saw during the day and sharing unforgettable memories from the Amazon rainforest.
The dinner contained Starters, Main plates and Dessert and since we seated with groups, we shared and enjoyed both two kinds of starters: Antipasto (with a basket of breads and butter) and Pastels. Pastels is a kind of fried dumpling with cheese or meat and the meat pastel is very delicious. After starters, we can choose one of main plates from 5 choices. I chose the Torino – the tenderloin steak with funghi risotto and parmesan tulie. Personally speaking, the midden well steak was a bit old and Miko also thought the steak was lack of favor. It was surprising that the green mezzaluna brasil pesto of La Parme (the chicken filet) was tasted very nice and like what Lexi said:“ It’s even better than the chicken!”
Finally, we had our dessert-Ofelia, and it’s a kind of traditional brazil dessert. It looked and tasted like “Nutella”. In fact, it’s a little bit too sweet and I think it will become better with a cup of hot milk or bread. (Yummy!) In brief, we really enjoyed the environment and services of Cartorio Cartete but the welcome dinner at Bonivu’s was more attractive and delicious for me.
