Different from other activities in Brazil, communities create immeasurable value and reflect the life of the most general population. They devote, they love, and they enjoy!
In Cantagalo community, Rio de Janeiro, we met Gabriel Santos, a young entrepreneur who founded Favela Connection - aiming to demystify prejudices around the life in communities through activities, conversations, and tours.
He always keeps looking ahead and attempting to understand and challenge new things. He never gives up. He helps people overcome difficulties and finish advanced tasks.
Within only 3 years, he got a 4.9 out of 5 reviews on Trip Advisor Reviews and around 100 activities. Enjoy your time traveling in Latin America with Gabriel!
Passing to another leader, we were fortunate to communicate and dance with Adailton - also known as Mestre Da, who has an organization that teaches Samba and Carnival drums and percussion to community kids. He began establishing and organizing when he was around 50 years old. With his passion and love towards musical instrument and dancing, he kept looking for talents anywhere. Even though he is not good at English, we could definitely notice his indulgence and happiness from his facial and body expression. We were also glad to meet one of his teams, which consists of 7 outstanding dancers and musical instrument players. From his enthusiasm, we eventually appreciated his on-site dance teaching!
Nothing is impossible and please always looking forward to the future!
