How time flies! It was the last day of our Brazil Trip while we visited the Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar in Portuguese). Sugarloaf Mountain is one of the must-see attractions in Rio De Janeiro besides Christ the Redeemer. We arrived at the peak around 2 pm by cable car.
There are two stops along the cable car ride. Before we arrived at our first stop - top of Urca Mountain, we get to observed the aerial views of the Copacabana beach, the Christ statue and Guanabara Bay on the cable car. After savoring the breathtaking views, Eric and Lexi, who won the business pitch presentation in Creditas, went on to the complimentary helicopter ride. To our surprise, all of us get to be on the helicopter ride as well. Waves of happiness washed over us and we felt it soak right into our bones as we received the good news. The 7-minutes-flight gives all of us a chance to behold the wonders of the city as it spread out beneath us.
Laurel, who is afraid of height, hesitated about the ride at first. However, after the tour on the air over the city, she said that it was not terrifying at all and wish that she could do it again. Genti and Dominique mentioned that the ride was worth it and wished that they could be on the flight longer as they felt the ride lasted only like 2 minutes! Smit beamed with excitement as he finished the tour and stepped down the chopper. Thanks to the arrangement and surprise, all of us experienced one of the best days in our life on the Sugarloaf Mountain.
We then headed to the peak of Sugarloaf and observed the jaw-dropping views of the ocean and Rio before rushing to our final destination - Museum of Tomorrow!
